“Keep your friends close and your enemies closer” is an old saying.  But, what can you do if your own President is acting as though he hates his own country — OUR country?

Yesterday, President Obama implicitly conceded any and all rights of the sovereign state of Arizona to pass laws its citizens want to the Mexican President! How?   Even though Mexico is very restrictive to foreigners, Obama agreed with Calderon that the Arizona law was BAD.  Even though almost all of our problems with illegal immigrants is with illegal Mexican immigrants,  Obama played politics and  pandered to that ethnic group because he wants their vote.  What is Obama thinking?  Doesn’t he understand who are our allies and who are not?  Apparently not because, a short while ago, Obama  snubed Netanyahu, our firm ally in Israel, and then, as a further insult, gave  a state dinner to a man whose country is causing us so many problems in welfare, crime, and loss of jobs for Americans!

How can Obama not understand Arizona’s problems with illegal aliens?  How can he not stand up for Arizona which is one of the states he swore an oath to protect?  Unfortunately, this is all too common for Obama.  But, even worse is that neither Obama, nor his attorney general (Holder) nor his Homeland Security Advisor (Napolitano) have read the ten pages of the bill!  How can they  claim the law is anti-constitutional?  It is sheer arrogance and abuse of power by our highest officials.  It is negligence of duty of the highest order.

And, today, America was insulted yet again by President Calderon when the Democrats in Congress stood and applauded the Mexican president who again said the Arizona law is BAD.   What kind of a congress do we have that they would choose to reward a foreign president who is insulting  one of our very own states?

If they like the Mexican president and  Mexico’s laws so much, why don’t THEY move there?  The rest of us are sick and tired of our own representatives representing foreign countries and foreign countries’ interests rather than our own.   President Obama and his minions are overly eager to please foreign governments while at the same time, they have disarmed not only our economy, but our space program and also our military.  They have reveled in dissing America even while on foreign soil.  They routinely criticize American law and laud foreign law.  They allow terrorists to be “mirandized” — a unique privilege that should be reserved for citizens of this wonderful country.  In short, Obama acts like an enemy of America.  Is he friend or foe?

Well, would a friend continually disdain everything American or have complete contempt  for the Constitution of the United States or react gleefully when foreigners insult us is ?  I think not.

So, if they aren’t our friends, are they actually our enemies?   I believe that their actions and public comments prove that President Obama and the Democrats in Congress and Obama’s appointees are NOT following the Constitution.  And, even if  the old saying about friends and enemies is true…………………. I don’t want them anywhere near me!

Who owns America?

John Denver loved to sing, “This land is your land.  This land is my land.”  However, the “your” he referred to was other AMERICAN CITIZENS, not citizens of other countries.

Unfortunately, the PC police and Lieberals, along with President Obama, want even citizens of other countries, notably Muslims and Mexicans, to be able to tell US what we can do OR say!  This political correctness has gone so far that we can’t joke about Mohammed; but, it’s okay to defecate on the American flag and to use vulgarities when referring to anything Christian.  People who express their feelings publicly about homosexuality or other ethnic groups are portrayed as racists and somehow, subhuman. Athletes have even lost their jobs for expressing their honest opinions.

And, now, certain ethnic groups feel they  have the right to tell us what to  WEAR in our OWN COUNTRY!

Freedom of expression or cultural disrespect on Cinco de Mayo?

Where does all this nonsense end?  Do we Americans have to let someone else dictate the laws of our own country? Whose land is America?

I say it’s  time to stop pandering to minorities, especially those who are NOT citizens;  and remember,  that in America, the majority–OF AMERICAN CITIZENS, NOT ANYONE ELSE —  is supposed to rule!

The majority of Americans are still Christians.  So, let’s stop letting one or two atheists decide what we can say or do in public.

The majority of Americans are against illegal immigration, especially any attempt to legalize those who are here illegally now.  Let’s require EVERYONE, not just Mexicans, to go through the exact same procedure to see if they qualify to be American citizens.

And, let’s stop worrying about “offending”  minorities. It’s time for minorities to grow up and understand that everyone is offended by something that others do. GET OVER IT!  The rest of us have.  After all, the Constitution guarantees the right to PURSUE HAPPINESS AND  LIBERTY, not a guarantee that any of us will be given a special pass to that happiness.

And, let’s take back this wonderful country that is OURS.  Then, once again, this land will truly be YOURS and MINE!

Even though candidate Obama promised no new taxes on the middle class, preferring to intimate that the “wealthy” were not paying their fair share, the reality is that EVERYONE WILL BE PAYING MORE TAXES.

We already pay:  property taxes, sales — local and state — taxes, state  income taxes, alternative minimum tax, federal income tax, excise taxes,  capital gains taxes, estate taxes, vehicle license taxes, gasoline taxes, cigarette taxes,  and fees to hunt, fish, camp, or anything else that the government can stamp a price tag on.

Now, President Obama is agreeing to a VAT tax (value added tax) which would be a Federal tax on just about anything that moves, or even doesn’t move.  The justification is that we must pay down our national debt.  What he doesn’t tell you is that HIS POLICIES ARE THE REASON THE NATIONAL DEFICIT IS OUT OF CONTROL!!!!!!

Forget Obama’s campaign promises to control Washington’s invasion of our lives.  He certainly has.

Forget that most Americans did NOT want the health legislation and its incumbent taxes to pass.  He certainly did.

Forget that America was founded upon free people making their own decisions and using their own talents to support themselves.  He certainly has!

Obama and his ideas are just too repressive and costly for our country.  In fact, the cost of his administration is outrageous, and unchecked spending in every welfare program they can find, implement, or maintain! America just can’t afford any more of Obama’s grandiose and socialistic agenda.

The Tea Party has shown how wide and diverse is the opposition to Obama’s socialistic agenda.  Throw him and his lackeys out in November!

TEHRAN, Iran – Iran’s hard-line president on Wednesday ridiculed President Barack Obama’s new nuclear strategy, which turns the U.S. focus away from the Cold War threats and instead aims to stop the spread of atomic weapons to rogue states or terrorists.

I never, ever thought I would agree with Ahmadinejad about anything!  But, Ahmadinejad is right when he describes President Obama’s latest play to the world crowd by reducing our nuclear capability as Obama’s inexperience showing.  Obama’s nuclear policies are the most bone-headed, scariest ever presented!

How does telling dictators, Russia, or China that you aren’t going to fight as hard as you can, if needed, keep us safe?  Of course, it doesn’t.  Other countries will now feel free to run amok in every way they want because, after all, the United States is only going to “talk” with them!  What a fool President Obama is.  His inexperience might be the death of us all yet!

The world has an opinion of Obama and, while it scares any American who can think, it makes THEM smile.

The American public did NOT want the health legislation to pass, but Congress rammed it through anyway.  It’s no surprise that people are angry, frustrated, and just plain overwrought by representatives who did NOT represent their constituents.

Some, unfortunately, have decided to let their legislators know just how much anger there is by sending harsh emails, voice mails, and even a brick through windows.  This violence is NOT limited to Democrats who overwhelmingly voted against the American public.  Eric Cantor, Republican of Virginia, also had damage to one of his buildings.

Hatred in politics is nothing new, especially when an entirely new social order is being foisted on unwilling participants.  What is new is that the Democrats have decided to try to mitigate the anger against their “aye” votes by drumming up new anger against those who use violence to try to show their anger.  If Democrats can change the focus from their forcing national health care on Americans to fearing violence from opponents, then they are halfway to being redeemed in the public’s eye.

However, this is a bogus, and blatantly political response by Democrats.  They have used every dirty trick, every cunning ploy, and even dubious legislative methods to force this bill through.  And, now, they want to play the victim!

Despite their extolling the new health legislation, none of Congress nor the President  are required to participate in the program.  They have their own “special” policy.  How undemocratic is that?

Despite their assurances that the new health legislation would save money, any thinking American knows that you cannot increase a pool of recipients and save money.  No.  Democrats plan taxes that you won’t notice until you check your pension plan….like the 3.8% INCREASE in taxes on dividends which is a 25% increase in total taxes on dividends!

Despite Democrats lamenting the violence, they secretly relish it because they can then extrapolate and attribute such actions to anyone who disagrees with them.  Witness the allegations that teaparty groups “MUST” be responsible!

Hatred in politics in nothing new.  What is new is that the media repeatedly follows the party line of the Democrats all the while denigrating FOX news and the independents and conservatives who are begging for fiscal responsibility.  What is new is that Democrats piously downplay their role in fomenting such reactions and use it as a political ploy to try to save members who voted against the public’s wishes.  Those votes are the source of a great deal of anguish for those of us who will be paying yet again for someone else’s profligate ways and for some, a source of hatred.

Although they are trying to place the blame on others, through their actions and votes,  Democrats and Health care are now  synonymous with Hatred and Politics.

All those with dividend income — here’s your wake up call!

President Obama and his Democrats have finally found a “hidden” way to pay for the proposed health legislation–hidden because it is a sneaky tax that you won’t know about until you pay your taxes!  Although health legislation was supposed  to save money, the current legislation will still cost everyone by stealing  more “taxes” from  anyone with dividend income — what a surprise!  In fact, the new tax on all dividend income above $250,000 will be a hefty 25% increase because they are adding a 3.8% tax on dividends!

To cover the cost of those changes, the compromise would impose a 3.8 percent Medicare tax on investment income for wealthy taxpayers, a levy that would come in addition to a Senate-proposed increase in the regular payroll tax for those families. And it would slice an additional $60 billion from Medicare, with the privately run program known as Medicare Advantage targeted for particularly deep cuts, bringing the total reduction in projected spending on the program to more than $500 billion over the next decade.

Good bye,  senior pension plans!

Good-bye, all who worked hard through the years and invested in America’s companies through the stock market!

Good-bye, to the concept that what you earn is yours and not the government’s.

Undemocratic Democrats!

Although Americans are adamantly AGAINST the current health legislation, Democrats are determined to ram it through by hook or by crook!

Although the bill is not even in its final, written version, Democrats want to vote on it.  Although the American public is disgusted with Democrats’ wheelings and dealings, President Obama is trying to intimidate dissenters into voting for it.   Although representatives were supposed to represent the American public’s wishes and best interests, Democrats continue spreading lies about how the legislation would work and smearing those who disagree and completely disregarding the protestations of a majority of Americans.  It is such a bad piece of legislation that Democrats are scurrying for ways to avoid voting on the actual bill, yet passing it on to the president.  This has been Chicago style politics from the beginning and it looks as though it will be dirty, double-dealing, criminal, and unconstitutional,  to the end.

Democrats had better reconsider.

Are they Americans first, or Democrats first?

If they’re Americans first, then they must follow the people’s wishes, i.e., vote AGAINST  THE HEALTH LEGISLATION THAT PELOSI, REID, AND PRESIDENT OBAMA ARE PUSHING.

If they’re Democrats first, then, like sheep, they will do as Pelosi  and Obama want them to do, even if they must subvert our Constitution.

A “no” vote will be difficult, but would prove that our Representatives truly are representative of the American public.  A “yes” vote will confirm that dirty politics with all its sweetheart deals and closed door arm twisting is the new motif of the Democrats’ party.  If the legislation passes, Democrats will be labeled as undemocratic….a title they will deserve!

So, are Democrats Americans first or Democrats first?  We’ll know the answer soon.

“And, I promise transparency in government….” and “open meetings” and “nothing behind closed doors”.  How many times did SENATOR Obama say that before becoming president?  And, a little over his first year, how many times have he and his fellow Democrats broken those promises?

If you look at health legislation alone, Democrats are wheeling and dealing ONLY behind closed doors.  There is nothing discussed in public nor are any reports issued so we can check up on our pseudo representatives in Congress.  No wonder the American public is vehemently against the current, health  legislation.  We know there are sweetheart deals and special favors for those that vote democrat — like unions.  We know that congressional votes are routinely being sought using state exemptions or student loans (which have NO bearing on health care but are someone’s special pet project) as a carrot to entice a “yes” vote.   We know that “some” Americans will once again pay more for a governmental program that no one, except the Democrats who are buying votes with our tax dollars, want!

In fact, Democrats are looking for every way possible to get this health legislation into law, even if it means subverting the Constitution with ridiculous “rules” like the Slaughter rule.

Health legislation, like the TARP bailouts, and everything else that President Obama and the Democrats do, is about as clear as mud!
