Romney, the “doer” vs. Obama, the “talker”…..

Which candidate for President can MAKE things better………….and which candidate will TALK about how he wants to make things better?  Sandy, the hurricane running rampant throughout our Eastern seaboard, provides a real time example of how each candidate reacts in an emergency.

Obama is sitting tight in Washington, D.C., ostensibly to monitor rescue efforts.  The President wants to appear to be Presidential while, of course, he is just protecting himself and his image.  We know the image of Obama at the head of rescue efforts is false for many reasons.  First is Obama’s own spokesman, Carney, saying that the President returned because:  Due to deteriorating weather conditions in the Washington, DC area, the President will not attend today’s campaign event in Orlando, Florida.  The President will return to the White House to monitor the preparations for and early response to Hurricane Sandy.  (http://www.whitehousedossier.com/2012/10/29/obama-nixes-campaign-stop-returning-washington/).

Returning due to weather is obviously true.  However, the President didn’t monitor Benghazi, Libya, in real time.  4 Americans died there, due to his dereliction of duty.  So, why should we believe that Obama cares now when he didn’t then?  Besides, rescue details are handled by the Governors of the affected states, not the President.  All the President does is release Federal funds.  Essentially, the President sits on his hands and opens “our” wallet.  And, oh yes, THIS President does a lot of talking about how he “wants” to help.

Then, there is Governor Romney who is also curtailing his campaigning.  However,  Governor Romney is actively engaged in rescue efforts.  Romney is sending his campaign bus with supplies into the areas affected by the storm.

So, do you want a “doer” like Governor Romney or a “talker” like President Obama for the next four years?

Consider the high unemployment, the national deficit rising every second, businesses pessimistic about the future, our enemies salivating at the possibility of overwhelming America, and our allies (remember Israel?) wondering whom to trust, BEFORE you decide.  Whom do we need?

We need Governor Romney, a successful businessman, who knows how to put our country back together again.

We need the “doer” –Governor Romney — to “do” for America what he did for Massachusetts and for the Olympics.

Romney wins……..AGAIN!

The third Presidential debate for 2012 was yet another example of Governor Romney’s ability to ASSESS SITUATIONS and determine THE optimum strategy.  No matter the provocation, Governor Romney never sank to President Obama’s level of scurrilous lies, insults, and innuendoes.

While President Obama blustered and insulted Governor Romney, Romney replied with grace and knowledge.

While President Obama tried to defend his abysmal record, Romney pointed out inconsistencies and policies detrimental to Americans.

While President Obama lied about Romney and denigrated Romney’s sterling (ask former President Clinton if it’s sterling) reputation, Romney replied without rancour….and, with provable facts.

Obama’s demeanor, words, and attitude were wrong for him, America, and the world.

And, even worse for Obama, his “facts”, as he likes to call them, were also wrong.

One example was Obama’s condescending remark about “bayonets and horses” which is demonstrably false.  Our Marines DO still use bayonets.  And, we DID use horses in Afghanistan!

While the pundits, most of whom are lieberals, might call this a tie — at best — anyone else checking the facts, watching Romney’s statesmanlike demeanor, or seeing Obama’s inability to defend his record will call this a definitive win for Romney.   AGAIN!

Why does the stock market dictate a vote for Romney?

Does the stock market’s “high” really help you decide whom to vote for?  Well, it should!

With record levels of unemployment, gas prices surging, home prices dropping, more people on food stamps,  the stock market seems to be  a sign of hope.  But,  it isn’t!

The reason for the stock market’s high prices is that it is the only place to invest with any hope of earning a decent return.  And, there are many investors who are stashing their cash in the stock market which means there is very high demand for a limited product.  And, generally,  high demand means higher prices.

So, why are so many people and institutions investing in the stock market?

It is the uncertainly created by the current administration’s policies.  Companies are holding their capital close to the vest because they don’t know what the future will bring in the way of expensive regulations, increased taxes, and government bungling of the economy and foreign policy. Individuals are NOT spending because they are worried about future taxes or the possibility of losing their jobs because the promised “summer of recovery” has NOT happened.

So, why vote for Governor Romney and Representative Ryan?

Governor Romney has been a successful businessman for many, many years.  He understands how to make businesses successful by lowering taxes and reducing regulations. He understands how to get our country working again.   Representative Ryan, too, understands financial matters, having been chairman of the House budget committee.

The stock market cannot tell us what to do, but,  it is a warning sign to us that we need to fix the economy so all areas can flourish.  The high prices on the DOW may make investors happy, but it should make us wary…..wary of an administration that has demolished all other areas of our market place.

We need the economy to thrive in all areas…..and, for that, we need Romney and Ryan!
