Democratic Double Standard

Remember when the Democrats were incensed that a Florida Republican representative might have sent inappropriate emails to an intern?  The Republicans convinced the representative to resign almost immediately.

Well, the Democrat who replaced the Republican has his own little, sex scandal, only this time, the Democrats are doing everything they can to help this creep stay in office!  Talk about a double standard.  According to Democratic theology, if you do something wrong, and are conservative, get out of town!  If you do something wrong, and are Democratic, “how can we help you?”

Be sure to read the last part of this article to see what lengths the Democrats will go to elect a fellow Democrat!  How immoral is the Democratic party?

Congressman’s $121,000 Payoff to Alleged Mistress

Tim Mahoney Elected to Remove ‘Ethical Cloud’ of His Disgraced Predecessor, Mark Foley

West Palm Beach Congressman Tim Mahoney (D-FL), whose predecessor resigned in the wake of a sex scandal, agreed to a $121,000 payment to a former mistress who worked on his staff and was threatening to sue him, according to current and former members of his staff who have been briefed on the settlement, which involved Mahoney and his campaign committee.

The affair between Congressman Tim Mahoney and Patricia Allen began, according to current and former staffers, in 2006 when Mahoney was campaigning for Congress against Foley, promising “a world that is safer, more moral.”

Mahoney, who is married, also promised the woman, Patricia Allen, a $50,000 a year job for two years at the agency that handles his campaign advertising, the staffers said.

A Mahoney spokesperson would not answer questions about the alleged affair or the settlement, but said Allen resigned of her own accord and “has not received any special payment from campaign funds.”

Senior Democratic leaders in the House of Representatives, including Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-IL), the chair of the Democratic Caucus, have been working with Mahoney to keep the matter from hurting his re-election campaign, the Mahoney staffers said.

No quotable quotes?

Isn’t it amazing how the liberal press is attempting to create a Democratic winner in last night’s debate?  I’ve heard it said that Senator Obama made no gaffes, and thus won.  And, after all, Obama must win because there were no quotable quotes!

Well, I have a completely different reaction to last night’s debate.

Senator McCain was engaging, decisive, humorous, informed, and obviously experienced enough to step right into the job of President.  He was gracious in remembering Senator Kennedy’s illness. He was mindful of the great sacrifice of our military. He was respectful of his opponent, always calling him Senator.  And, he corrected many obvious misstatements made by Senator Obama.

Senator McCain showed himself ready, willing, and able to be President of the United States last night, as he has for many years in the past.

And, if you want a quotable quote, how about Senator McCain insisting he knows and loves our veterans and will protect them?  What about Senator McCain saying of his opponent:  “After all, it is pretty hard to reach across the aisle when you are so far left!”

Although quotable quote should not decide a winner, if that is the standard, then Senator McCain comes out the winner again!

Promises, promises.

In the beginning of Senator Obama’s  campaign, he promised to never campaign negatively.  In the beginning, he promised to take public financing for his campaign.  In the beginning, he promised to converse honestly with the American people (leave the teleprompter home).  In the beginning, he was the golden boy for the media.

How many promises has he kept?

Well, he’s still the fair-haired boy to 90% of the media!

CNN just doesn’t get it!

The big story on CNN tonight was not the RNC convention but  that Senator McCain refused an interview with Larry King after a reporter, Campbell, closely questioned Sarah Palin’s credentials.  The reporters pretended to not understand the backlash from the McCain camp.

The problem is not that Governor Palin’s credentials were being questioned.  As head of the Alaskan National Guard, she has as much experience as any other governor, including the Democrats’ favorite, President Clinton, had when he ran for President!  She certainly has more executive experience than either Obama or Biden.

No, the problem was that these same questions were NEVER ASKED of Senator Obama who is the head of the Democratic ticket!

If CNN wants to be truly apolitical, why don’t they challenge Obama’s credentials?  Why?  Because they know that, after serving a mere 182 days in the Senate (and who knows if he made all those sessions),  he has NO QUALIFICATIONS to be President.

CNN just doesn’t get it!

Cold War Redoux

Read This!

This is exactly why we can’t have Obama win the presidency.  He will completely undermine American power in the world, and let Russia bully smaller countries at will.  I’m not saying we need to go all out here, but if Russia wants another pissing match, I think we’re game.

As Ronald Reagan said, no wars have been fought because America has been too powerful.  And no matter what the LIEberal media or your LIEberal congressmen, or women, will say, we still are powerful.  They would have you believe that we have a sagging economy, and that we are in recession.  These bozo’s don’t even know the definition of recession, which, if used here, does not apply.  We are NOT in recession.

No matter your political views, the Presidency as a symbol, is America.  You don’t tear down your own symbol so vigorously the way LIEberals have.  They have made a mockery of the man and the Presidency.  They have worked harder at tearing down America and what we stand for, than any foreign country has.  They should be disgusted, but their lack of moral standing only has them looking smug and with a look of accomplishment.  The only thing they’ve accomplished is confirming my lack of trust and respect for them.

Mr. Knowledge

Energy Policies

Obama says that inflating our tires will help America get better gas mileage.  While true, the kicker to me is how everyone is saying this is insightful.  This is how bad the press and LIEberals have gotten in this country.  The fact that they are so blind and only want their man to win no matter the cost, is comical.  Inflating tires is part of an energy plan?  That’s a real zinger of a plan, Obama.

How about actually having a plan Obama.  All you do is talk eloquently about nothing.  I’m not the most informed person when it comes to the candidates positions, but I can tell you that I have absolutely no idea what Obama’s REAL plans are, because he has none.

Sure, I can go out there and blow smoke up everyone’s arse that we should try to use wind and solar power, but I also realize we don’t have the infrastructure built up for that yet.  Had the LIEberals not scared America in the past about nuclear power, we could be less dependent on coal and oil today.  Once we are less dependent we can look into other areas such as wind and solar.  That’s what LIEberals don’t want you to believe.  They want to scare, and use any tactic to make you listen to them jabber.

For example.  The new Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid gets around 20+ mpg.  A small increase over the standard one that gets only 15-17, but none the less, it’s still an improvement.  Instead of praising this, LIEberals are all up in a tizzy because 20 is still not as much as they’d like.

I want to mention though, that I have no problem with people wanting to go green.  Hell, Mr. Knowledge even optioned his energy bill to be 100% renewable energy.  I just wish instead of scare tactics, the LIEberals used encouraging tactics.  Don’t tear down people who buy the hybrid Tahoe, but rather praise them that they are willing to make an effort.

Mr. Knowedge

Obamaland

Have you noticed how Senator Obama’s speeches are carried, live, on almost every channel?  And, that the same channels do not carry Senator McCain’s speeches or public appearances?  Why is that?

It must be because Obama is constantly changing positions on issues and the press is trying to keep up with his new policy statements.  With McCain, you know where he stands on issues and WHY he espouses any given policy.

Either that, or it is the liberal bias of almost all the media who hope to sway the election from a genuinely experienced candidate, Senator McCain, to that of their personal favorite, Senator Obama.

What a surprise!

Another press conference is held, and David Gregory defiantly attacks the President with a question obviously meant to inflict political harm, not to elicit new information!

My question is why any reputable network would hire a partisan like Mr. Gregory.

The media’s political con game

Anyone who watches tv can probably identify the political biases of a given network. Fox is considered center to right of center. CNN is slightly left of center while MSNBC is definitely in left field. Most viewers can feel these slants just by watching and gauging network coverage.

A new study that I heard about yesterday, however, presents a more objective conclusion because, in this study, they actually counted and timed the air time of all stories by the “old” networks — ABC, NBC, and CBS.

This study would, obviously, be more scientific and definitive than merely calling and asking someone what they thought.

The conclusions showed not only definite biases by the networks, but an actual intent, and attempt, to skew the news to support liberal theology (and, yes, it is a religion for most liberals).

Unsurprisingly, CBS was determined to have shown far longer and more sensationalistic articles when the subject demeaned the current administration. When the news was positive, or pro-Administration, the stories were short and curt.

Especially during this pre-election period, voters should not rely on the drivel that drools from these openly liberal proponents. Dan Rather was fired for stepping over the journalistic line. Is it too much to hope that the CBS executives will suffer the same fate for using their air time to promote an ideology rather than present the news?

Voters should consider their decisions based on facts, not media driven falsehoods. Voters should attempt to discern the true issues of safety, economic security, and general welfare based on factual accounts.

And, if jobs, housing, security, and general well-being are the standards, then the Republicans have done an extraordinarily good job and should be re-elected.

Media’s drive to "drive" The News

There is an interesting posting on the Drudge today that speculates as to whether the IM that sank Foley’s career was actually part and parcel of an elaborate joke gone “bad”. The unfortunate jokesters, it is said, have now hired lawyers to protect themselves from any law suits that might spring from their defaming, although unwittingly, the now defunct Flordia legislator and/or others.

Wow. What if that is true? If you didn’t read the Drudge, you would never hear of this possibility because the media pundits are intent on ramming the trainload of accusations further down the track. They don’t want to wait and see if the rail cars are full or not.

For example, if you watched Tony Snow’s news conference today, you would have seen David Gregory once again trying to extricate an answer that coincides with David’s view of the issue. Mr. Gregory is unable to accept any answer unless it fits his agenda. He is typical of the media with his arrogant assumption that the other “guy” has to be wrong and he has to be right.

We’ll have to wait and see how this fiasco turns out.

However, if the genesis of this scandal does begin with a false and horrible practical joke, I hope that the joke comes back to bite the media and not us!
