Governor Walker

Before Governor Walker was elected….and, re-elected in a recall fiasco…….the former governor,  together with his crony, the woman who would be Governor,  lost over 130,000 jobs and created a state where unemployment was way out there at over 9%.  And, oh yes, we had a budget deficit of over $3  billion.   But, hey, who remembers that?

Well, I do.  I also remember that our “balanced budget”  was partially from taking moneys from a private fund that the doctors had themselves created — and funded — to help pay for cases where the malpractice insurance was NOT sufficient.  Many of these problems were not obvious;  but,  our state was ailing and in  a dangerous “state”.

Then, Wisconsin came to her senses and elected Scott Walker who had a fiscal plan to bring our state out of its malaise.  It wasn’t easy.  The teachers unions protested violently, invaded and occupied our statehouse, and acted like unfettered mobs.  Several Democrat lawmakers ran away to another state in an attempt to prevent a vote that would make certain union pension plans and other agreements more in line with what  the rest of Wisconsin employees were paid.

Fortunately, the shenanigans of the teacher unions and Democrats didn’t stop Wisconsin’s progress back to a more democratic environment.  Thanks to the hard work of Governor Walker, Wisconsin is now in great shape.  The unemployment rate is way down, to about 6 %.  We have a budget surplus…..yes, a surplus!  And, Wisconsin taxpayers are even enjoying a cut in their taxes !

Most Wisconsinites are happy with the way Wisconsin is recovering from the unwise and fiscally irresponsible previous administration.  More people are able to find jobs.  More businesses are happy to settle in Wisconsin.  And,  people, in general, are feeling more secure knowing that the state’s economy is moving into a better and better condition.

And, if our Wisconsin and  our economy are doing so well, why would anyone want to change a successful administration?

Should we move back to when our state was in economic trouble?  No.  After all, our state motto is “Forward”.

Let’s keep moving Forward.  And, the only way to do that is to re-elect Governor Walker.

So, please.  Help Wisconsin.  Help yourselves.  And, vote for Governor Walker.  Keep Wisconsin moving Forward.

Racism — alive and well in the United States’ Senate

The label of Racist is a damning one.  It is heard all too often in our country, especially by politicians.   And, almost unilaterally, it is Democrats depicting anyone, especially Conservatives, who refuse to vote for the Lieberal agenda by that hated name.  Why?  Because it is easier to call someone a racist than to argue the issues.

The latest example occurred when Senator Rockefeller, in an almost empty room, hurled that acrimonious label onto all those who oppose Obama-scare.  Rockefeller postulated that  there could be NO other reason to oppose Obama-scare than President Obama’s race.  Really?  Fortunately, Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin WAS in the room and listed many justifiable and good reasons to continue to oppose Obama-scare.

Even so, when Senator Johnson finished his exposition of reasons, Senator Rockefeller once again restated his theory that opposition to Obama-scare MUST be racist!  I guess that Senator Rockefeller believes his claim of racism is “settled”,  just like President Obama claimed that the “science”  about climate warming is “settled”.   For Democrats, it’s no longer “just the facts, ma’am”.  No, it’s the Democrats’ way, or the highway…………and, damn the facts.

This is the problem in trying to reason with Lieberal ideologues.  They have their own theories and conclusions which do NOT need to be based in fact, nor even resemble facts.  You can reason with them.  You can explain…..over and over.  You can show them the proof of what you say.  No matter.  Even when the truth counters their viewpoint, they maintain that they are right and you are wrong.  Why?  Well, their fail safe explanation is that YOU MUST BE RACIST!

Of course,  a reasonable person might say that anyone who prejudges you is himself, or herself, racist.  Because, racism is NOT a color.  Racism is an idea…..an arrogant assumption that one person knows what another is thinking, even when the “knower” has no intimate knowledge of the other person.  So, Rockefeller assumes he knows why Senator Johnson opposes Obama-scare.  Even when Johnson patiently explained his logical reasons for opposing Obama-scare, Rockefeller maintained that he himself knew that Johnson’s opinions are racist, and NOT based in fact.

So, Senator Rockefeller.  I’ve heard you are retiring and that is a good thing.  It’s a good thing for you because the lieberal agenda you support has helped lead our country into near economic disaster.  It’s a good thing for you to escape before Americans understand that it is bureaucrats like you with your big government ideas that suffocate individuals.   It’s a good thing if you leave before your bigoted ideas hurt anyone else.

It’s a good thing for our country because maybe now, we can elect someone who will listen to the facts before rendering a decision.  And, maybe, just maybe, we can elect someone who understands that the mere fact of being part of the “loyal opposition”  does NOT make someone racist!

Your retirement, and the retirement of all who loosely throw “RACIST” around,  might just encourage us all to work together.   That would be a good day for all of us.   No,  excuse me.  The death of  the calumnious epithet of racism — and the realization that we are individuals with different thoughts, prayers, and goals…..yet, still good and loyal citizens  —  would be a GREAT DAY  for America.

Michigan Hooligans…America’s new Terrorists

There is a new form of terrorism sweeping America and it is not only home-grown, but it is fed by President Obama, his sycophants, and the Liberal media who refuse to report the truth.  That terrorism is the “Union virus”, which began in Wisconsin, and has now spread to Michigan.

That terrorism turns normal human beings into violent and vicious thugs.  Let’s be honest.  There is nothing normal about having a neighbor screaming obscenities at you nor in mobs of people hauled into the state to thwart the elected representatives of a state or country.  And, yet,  our President has commended the mobs who have threatened these elected representatives and, indeed, have even assaulted several people…..all because these people disagree with the unions!

No, it’s not surprising that Obama has supported such riots.  After all, he is a President whose Justice Department head, Eric Holder, dismisses Black Panther voter intimidation because the intimidated voters are white.  He is a President who refuses to acknowledge our Constitution by himself intimidating the Supreme Court.  He is a President whose business advisor, Jeff Immelt, claims that communism is the right business path.

What is surprising is that the mainstream media sees nothing wrong with gangsters assaulting other Americans.  I see trouble on the streets today and more violence in the years to come if this criminal behaviour is not stopped.

As a Mother, I worry about my children being afraid to voice an honest opinion.  As a Grandmother, I fear my grandchildren will be ruled, not by the Constitution, but by mob rule.  As an American, I see my country smothered with government regulations that are rammed down our throats by ruthless politicians.

I see my America being defaced by a President who repeatedly apologizes for us and then, refuses to defend our institutions and liberties.

Michigan is just the latest in a series of cut-throat retaliations by Union thugs against those of us who would return our country to a land where people are EQUAL and have an EQUAL OPPORTUNITY to succeed……not a country where the politicians choose the winners and losers, based on their own desire for votes.

Michigan hooligans………….Look it up in the dictionary.  The next word in that dictionary will be President Obama and, the following word will be:   America Lost.

My Email To The Wisconsin DMV

I have a couple questions about renewing my license plates online.  First of all, why is there a ‘convience fee’ with renewing online.  It takes less man-hours to have everything done automatically by the computers online, so I would think you would want people to renew online.  In the end, it’s probably less money for you to process credit cards than it is for someone to rip open my envelope. That basically reduces the paperwork to zero.  Secondly, why do I have to sit through a 15 second video before I register my plates.  Is the fee I paid to register the plates there so that I can pay the actors who frankly, a complete farce, star in the video for the drunk driving ads that probably don’t work anyways.

Thank you governmental bureaucracy.

Confused

After Walker’s victory in the Wisconsin recall, I’m confused about a few things.

1) First and foremost, the lieberals are trying to poo-poo it as a non-victory for the Republicans, going as far as saying that the cheering and gloating that Republicans are doing is stupid. Now wait, if they had won the recall would they not have done the same? When they proved they had enough signatures for a recall, they celebrated like the Packers had won the Super Bowl. It’s a classic two face that I find funny on one sense, and left shaking my head on another.

2) There’s a video of a Barrett supporter saying that, “This Is the End of Democracy”. Actually the exact opposite is true. This was is PROOF of Democracy in action. Whether or not you agree with Walker, he won fair and square by an election. This tells me that yes, there are people who disagree with Walker, but there’s also a greater majority of people who support his decisions and policies.

3) Finally, the one thing that I haven’t been able to grasp yet is the issues unions have with Walker. Yes, I can completely see that a union would be opposed because they want to be free and clear of some of the policies he’s pushing. I think they’re wrong, but I’m not arguing against that point. The one part I want to argue is the notion that teachers and public employees have to pay a minuscule amount towards their own pensions and insurance. I can’t help but draw parallels with Obama-care and how the lieberals would make me believe that I should pay more out of my paycheck for something that I do not believe in. They give me the typical bull-shit that it’s better for the populace and I should do it to help those in need. Great, then the teachers should put their tails between their legs and pay a little into their own pensions.

I’ve finally realized what this all means. Give me YOUR (private sectory) money, but I keep MINE (unions / public sector). I did a quick search of Wisconsin salaries for teachers. Yes, there are some low salaries on the list, but guess what, it’s not like I made 50k coming out of College either. The average sallary for an elementary school teacher is ~$51k. Now, that includes weekends off, Christmas break, Easter break, spring break and wait for it… 3 months off in the summer. Not to mention the awesome benefits, mega amount of vacation and sick time. I’d be a little incensed if they didn’t pay a little towards their pensions. I mean, I do… and I don’t rake in that much money… oh and I’m stuck in a suit during the summer… working 8-5.

But, enough griping about teachers… the moral of this rant is that yes…

WALKER WON BITCHES!

-Mr. Knowledge

Governor Walker, Wisconsin

Opponents of Governor Walker are busily gathering signatures in an attempt to recall Governor Walker.   Much of the recall effort is being financed and supported by outside unions and Lieberal groups.

While it is the right of anyone to pursue a recall of just about any politician, isn’t it sad that these groups and individuals are willing to force the State of Wisconsin into spending $9,000,000.00 because they are mad that Governor Walker — and the other duly elected Wisconsin officials — have insisted that unions “pay their fair share” of their own health care insurance and that unions can NO LONGER STRONG ARM COMPANIES INTO GATHERING UNION DUES?

Unions have been gathering power and monetary perks for years because politicians are afraid of the political pressure that unions can bring to bear on any issue.  Last year, and this year, illustrated the extent of physical violence threats that unions and lieberals are willing to use against conservative policies.  Last year, and this year, illustrate the names and devious arguments that unions and lieberals are willing to use against conservative policies. Last year, and this year, the State of Wisconsin will incur a huge cost for these recall elections.

Is all this really necessary?  Is it really democratic for the unions to allow their thugs into our State capitol, into our State’s legislative activities, and now, even into the choice of our State Governor?  Do we really want George Soros’ surrogates demanding we recall our Governor?  Does anyone understand how much money is already saved, just by mandating that unions pay “their fair share” ?  Do we really want to spend $9,000,000.00 just because someone is unhappy with the current policies and that someone is unwilling to wait for another election cycle to challenge the duly-elected legislators?  Wouldn’t it be better to use that $9 million for state programs or state public work projects that could put people back to work?

Governor Walker was elected to change our state’s economic spiral down.  He was elected to create jobs for Wisconsinites.  He was elected to correct former Governor Doyle’s bad financial policies and, yes, even criminal acts by Doyle and his cohorts in the state legislature.  If you doubt this, notice that our state budget is now on a more financially sound basis.  Companies are hiring more workers, in the expectation that Wisconsin will help them build a good company, and not tax them to death.  And, Governor Walker, on behalf of the State of Wisconsin and based on a court decision, has repaid the money that Doyle illegally took out of a fund created and paid for by Wisconsin doctors.

It’s time to recognize that Governor Walker has made significant improvements to our state economy and HAS NOT raised our taxes.  He has simply asked everyone to work together for the good of Wisconsin.  And, like President Obama,  he has asked everyone, the unions included, to “PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE”.  Governor Walker is good for the State of Wisconsin.  Let’s keep him, the legislators who work with Walker, AND, the policies that are helping Wisconsin, in office!

VOTE FOR GOVERNOR WALKER!

Is there Intelligent Life in Wisconsin’s GAB?

The Wisconsin Government Accountability Board, GAB,  has said it will accept any name on the recall petitions IF there is a valid address and date.   The bureaucrats have decided that it is not their job to make sure that ONLY LEGAL RESIDENTS sign the petitions.  So, Adolph Hitler will be accepted as a signature unless he uses his address in Germany!

Isn’t the GAB supposed to protect us from fraud?  And, if a fake name on a recall petition isn’t thrown out, then fraud has occurred.

There already are too many bureaucrats regulating our lives and businesses and now, we have bureaucrats being paid for NOT doing their job!  If the GAB feels it can’t be responsible for checking whether a signature is valid or not, let’s find someone who will.  After all, there are many unemployed Wisconsin residents looking for work.  They would welcome a job and would probably do it well, and for less, than the current GAB bureaucrats.

It’s criminal that the Government Accountability Board is cheating the Wisconsin electorate and not even living up to the most important word in its name… “accountability”.

Wisconsin………..

What some Democrat partisans see as a scandal…………

another Democrat, and a high-ranking Democrat, believes  is fair:

Ramona Kitzinger, the vice chair of Waukesha County Democratic party who observed the canvass, said she is satisfied the numbers are now correct.

There is NO scandal in this Wisconsin election, unless you want to believe that the initial results reported by the media were correct and have now been tampered with.  There is NO evidence that any tampering occurred!  In Wisconsin, there is ALWAYS a post-election canvass of the vote to make sure that it was an accurate count.  Just because the vote totals now reflect that Prosser won is not grounds for all the insulting and accusatory labels being heaped on Waukesha’s clerk.

If you “counted” on the initial count of votes, you were relying on preliminary numbers which, in this case, didn’t hold up.  There is nothing sinister here.

But, the unions and Democrats WANT there to be a scandal because they figure they can yell, scream and holler their policies into Wisconsin law once they convince the media that something underhanded occurred.   This from a party whose state senators fled the state rather than act like mature representatives of their state.

Wisconsin.  We love our state.  But, sometimes, we wonder why those who DON’T EVEN LIVE HERE are trying to tell us what to do!   Here’s our message for out-of-state unions — GO HOME.  If you have any bright ideas, use them to make your own state better.

Because, Wisconsin voted last November and we told our legislators THEN what we wanted NOW to help our FUTURE!

Democracy or Mob Rule?

America used to be ruled by the majority.  Every kid in school knew that majority rule was the basis of all democracy.  And, if you didn’t like what the majority wanted, you worked to convince a majority that YOUR views were better!

Unfortunately, our America has succumbed to political correctness and mob rule to the point where the majority no longer rules.  The old standard of  disagreeing agreeably is gone.  In today’s vitriolic society, it turns out that the majority, who voted overwhelmingly for conservatives in our last elections, are being over-ruled by union  mobs who shout, kick and scream, hurling profanities, and all because taxpayers finally see that government unions are only in the mix for the MONEY.  As one striking lady whined, “This will cost ME $3,000 more each year.”  Well, that is good news to me because it means I will be taxed $3,000 less.  And, after all, that is MY money, not hers!

Any objective observer would say that the union thugs and lackeys are acting like spoiled brats.  In Wisconsin, 14 senators — all Democrats — fled the state so that Democracy could NOT operate in our state capitol.  They didn’t like what the majority wanted.  So, they up and left!  What kind of state senator does that instead of staying and arguing his case?  What’s worse is that these same absent senators then said that Governor Walker refuses to negotiate.  What they mean is that Governor Walker won’t cave in to their demands.  So, they bring in MORE union protestors, mostly from out-of-state. Adding insult to injury, these shills  clog the state capitol and create so much debris that one estimate for the cleanup is $7 MILLION dollars.  And, guess who pays for that?  The taxpayer pays, as usual.

In Ohio, unions came out in force, braying and whining at Governor Kasich’s proposals, attempting to overwhelm the constitutionally elected legislature and Governor with sheer numbers.  If it weren’t so serious, the claim that 25,000 people are protesting would be laughable.  After all, Ohio had 11,542,645 residents in 2009.  And, Wisconsin, where the media hyped the “thousands” of protestors, the state population was 5,654,774.

The protestors are a small drop in either state’s total population.  And, if you consider that a good percentage of those protestors were NOT natives to the state, their numbers become even less important.  They are ABSOLUTELY NOT A MAJORITY OF STATE VOTERS IN EITHER CASE AND, like all the rest of us voters,  SHOULD BE REGISTERING THEIR OPINIONS IN THE VOTING BOOTH, NOT THE STREETS NOR THE OFFICIAL BUILDINGS OF OUR STATES.

We see mobs killing each other in the streets of Libya and much of the Arab world.  Is that the kind of America we want?  Do we want people who disagree with the majority to be able to stop our governmental processes just by hauling in ringers to clog our streets and government buildings?  I don’t think so.  If we want to remain a Democracy, WE MUST MAINTAIN majority rule.  Those in the minority are going to have to learn to accept things they don’t agree with.  It’s just the way a Democracy operates.

We should recognize that mob rule is only effective when the rules of decency and majority rule are pushed aside.  That is what the unions hope to do.  They want to scare, intimidate, and frighten Wisconsin’s people into agreeing with the unions’ outrageous  demands.  Don’t let anyone tell you that the unions are only doing it “for the children”.  They are agitating to fill their own pockets and empty yours!

So, the question is whether Democracy or mob rule will prevail.  And, it’s unlikely that we’ll know whether Democracy’s trademark, the rule of the majority, will endure until the hypocrites — i.e., the governmental unions, leave the street.

Democracy…..on hold…..

First there was campaigning for public office.  Candidates explained their positions on a variety of subjects, including the budget.

Next, there was an election.  Republicans won a majority of the offices.

Now, Governor Walker has followed through and proposed the budget he discussed during the campaign.

But, State Senate Democrats didn’t like the election results nor the proposed budget.  So, did they argue their views in the State Senate?  No, just like spoiled brats, they have decided they can’t win the vote on the budget and have left the state to stall a vote and, in effect, stall Democracy.  Shame on them.

The problem is that, for years,  unions have used their political muscle to elect Democrats and the Democrats are afraid to lose all that cash! If you ask an ordinary worker, most of us would say that governmental union workers are getting too sweet of a deal and that they are NOT entitled to these extensive benefits at OUR expense.  These benefits are NOT RIGHTS.  They are NOT EVEN  ENTITLEMENTS!  They are gifts from legislators attempting to repay unions for the union support — i.e., cash donations.  And,those outrageous benefits have to stop because, Christmas is OVER and  even Santa Claus has bills to pay!

After all, in a Democracy, we are supposed to be equal.  When unions and their bought legislators have more say than a legitimately elected governor and legislature, then there is no Democracy.  Until those Democrat senators return and do their job, we all suffer because Democracy is on hold.
